The Cigar-Label Gazette is a web site newsletter promoting the antique cigar label as a collectable. We started in July 1995 with a printed newsletter. This web site has been online in one form or another since January 1997. Starting in January of 2004 we will be only online.

Many of these images are very rare. Most examples are chromolithographs. Photo-mechanacal prints are collectable too. However, they are not as desireable. Cigar labels are some of the first color prints to be used as point of sale advertising.

Lets not confuse cigar labels with the rings or bands. Rings are the interesting little pieces of paper that are wrapped around the cigar. Most rings have little value relative to the labels. Rings are still very collectable. In fact, I have a band collection. which complements my label collection
